FLAGSTAFF, AZ – Coconino County Sheriff’s Detectives are looking for leads after a man reported being robbed at gunpoint by two suspects on Friday.

Detectives received a call about a 42-year-old motorist from Phoenix claiming he’d been robbed near milepost 208 on Interstate Highway 40, just east of Flagstaff.

Detectives say the victim reported pulling over to take a quick nap on the highway after becoming fatigued while driving.

Around 5 pm, the victim woke up to the sound of knocking on the driver’s side door of his semi tractor, according to detectives.

The victim opened the door and reportedly found two Hispanic males standing in front of him with handguns.

According to the victim, the suspects demanded a “significant amount of cash and a GPS unit” which was mounted on the dashboard of the semi tractor.

The victim told detectives he could not describe the suspects, other than being male, Hispanic, and Spanish speakers. The victim was not hurt. There is no other information at this time.
